Leica 72 18x24mm Wetzlar camera, 1949

The very first Leica camera 72 made in Wetzlar for taking 72 18×24mm exposures on 35mm film – the only Leica 72 with sharkskin covering! Listed in the Hahne list as the first Wetzlar Leica 72, two years before the next camera. IIIa type without synchronization, in perfect and 100% original condition. Purchased by the current owner from the famous Leica author Theo Kisselbach more than 25 years ago. The camera comes with an expertise with photographs of the interior from Leica expert Ottmar Michaely.
