This elusive “Luxus” Leica in 100% original and very good condition will be auctioned at the Leitz Photographica Auction №38 on 12 June 2021 in Vienna, Austria.
The camera with gold plated metal parts and a lizard–skin covered body was never restored and show the typical light patina. Only 95 “Luxus” Leicas were produced from 1929 to 1931; some were later converted or upgraded - only a handful of cameras exist in this original condition. An original Leica “Luxus” camera is one of the major rarities in the Leica world.
