Leica M4 “50 Years” Wetzlar

“50 years” edition (special no. 247-L) in new condition, complete with cap, instructions and registry card in maker’s box.

In 1975, for the 50th anniversary of the Leica E. Leitz, Wetzlar produced not only the Leica M5, CL und SL2, but also a limited edition of 1,750 M4-cameras with special engravings. Each of these special editions was engraved with a laurel wreath and „LEICA 50 Jahre“ and a 3-digit number ending with a letter of the name “LEICA”. Of the 1,750 cameras finished in black chrome, 1,400 were made in Germany while the remaining 350 in Canada.
