Leica 250GG Reporter camera 1941 front

Wartime Leica 250GG reporter camera  with Xenon 1.5/5 cm lens.

The Leica 250 or Reporter was introduced in 1934, bearing serial numbers from 130001 (1934) to 359916 (1953); total production is less than one thousand cameras. This unusually shaped Leica is capable of capturing 250 photographs on 10 meters (33 feet) of film in special cassettes. The characteristic of the 250 are the enlarged film chambers at each end of the camera. Two variations were available: the first version (FF model) had a top speed of 1/500 second, the second version (GG model) a top speed of 1/1000 second. The Leica Reporter is highly valued by collectors.
