FED 1f

1949

FED 1f 1949 front view with collapsed lens

Early FED 1f series 35mm rangefinder camera with 3,5/50 lens still carrying the old diaphragm scale — ƒ3,5 to ƒ18; while the later 1f serial numbers get the new, standardized diaphragm scale ƒ3,5 to ƒ16.

After “Red Flag”, the FED 1f is the first came body to use brass for its shutter cage. The earlier FED cameras used (mostly) steel shutter cages.
