Leitz Super-Angulon prototypes by Schneider
(1957-1977)
From 1958 onwards Schneider-Kreuznach produced the 21 mm Super-Angulon for Leitz. The 1:4/21 mm Super-Angulon, introduced in 1958, is a nine-glass construction in chrome finish and was available in screwmount M39 and M bayonet-mount. Its successor was the eight-element f3.4 lens, which was produced in chrome and black finish in bayonet-mount. These lenses are prototypes or samples by Schneider, all differing from the serial production models.
