Kodak Ektachrome E100 135 is Now Shipping
The long-awaited film is ready for Photokina 2018
On September 25, 2018 Kodak Alaris announced that Kodak Ektachrome Film E100 135/36 will immediately begin shipping to distributors and stock house dealers worldwide and is expected to be a favorite among professional and enthusiast photographers alike.
The long-awaited re-release of the new film will initially be available in Leica format only, followed by KODAK EKTACHROME 7294 Color Reversal Film in the Super 8 format on October 1, 2018 and 16mm format before Christmas 2018.
Resurgence in the popularity of analog photography and motion picture film has created demand for new film offerings.
“We recently brought KODAK PROFESSIONAL T-MAX P3200 Film back to market, and the response was overwhelming,” said Dennis Olbrich, President – Kodak Alaris Paper, Photo Chemicals and Film.
KODAK PROFESSIONAL EKTACHROME Film E100 delivers extremely fine grain thanks to Kodak's highly efficient T-GRAIN Emulsion Technology and low D-min for whiter, brighter whites, with moderately enhanced color saturation, neutral color balance and a low contrast tonal scale.
This film is designed for exposure with daylight or electronic flash.
Avid photographers will enjoy it's outstanding reciprocity for exposures from 1/ 10,000 to 10 seconds — without the need for speed or color compensation required. While image archivist and future generations will be happy with Ektachrome's dark storage image stability of at least 80 years in storage conditions of 10°C (50°F) and 15-20% relative humidity.
